The first rabies vaccine should be shot in time after being bitten to play a preventive role. If it is a generally minor bite, that is, in the absence of blood, or if it is scratched, or the broken skin is licked, the vaccine should be given on the same day. And it's not just one injection, it usually takes about a week. Then it should be injected again on the 30th day, note that the dosage for children is the same. Second, for more serious bites, in addition to the rabies vaccine injection according to the above method, the injection volume should be doubled on the first and third days of being bitten.
